Being already results driven with our facial offerings by providing Environ treatments that push the highest quality vitamins and anti-oxidants into the deepest layers of the skin to repair, hydrate and anti-age along with Caci for muscle toning and Plasma for skin tightening we now have several more offerings for you.

Firstly let me introduce SSR or Super Skin Rejuvenation.  This non-invasive treatment uses the latest technology to stimulate, rejuvenate, tighten and tone the skin, increasing collagen and fibroblast activity deep within the skin cells for dramatic and long-lasting results.  Selected wavelengths of light are gently pulsed into the skin to reverse the signs of ageing and increase the skin’s metabolism, which in turn leads to reducing fine lines and wrinkles and leaving the skin healthy.

This is a fantastic treatment for skin conditions such as pigmentation, thread veins and acne also.

Next, we have a range of skin peels from the pharmaceutical brand Mesoestetic.  Being a pharmaceutical brand means that their grade of ingredient is purer and of higher grade than any products available over the counter.  Mesoestetic spend 3 – 5 years developing their products and 40 – 50% of their worldwide profit is spent on research.  This is what led us to introducing this fantastic range and feeling that this was the right brand for us and our Clients.

What is a peel?  They work by encouraging deep exfoliation of different surface layers of the skin. It increases cell regeneration and restoration of collagen and elastin fibres. There are lots of different types of peels and strengths depending on the skin’s needs.  We can build these up from highly superficial peels to almost medium strength.  Glycolic peels are fabulous for ant-ageing, Lactic for sensitive, dry, dehydrated and dull, Salycylic for decongesting and antibacterial, Mandelic for thick, oily skin, Melanostop for pigmentation, Azelan for Acne and Modified Jessner for brightening a dull/tired skin, a great “party peel”.  The ultimate peel for pigmentation is Cosmelan.  This results driven treatment can really transform the skin, lightening and brightening and really correcting cause of pigmentation.

Finally, is our Celluma LED therapy.  Originally researched and developed by NASA, low level light therapy is the application of light energy to the body to obtain therapeutic benefits. It produced a natural photo-biochemical reaction similar to the process of plant photosynthesis and has a wide range of beneficial applications across many medical fields, including the treatment of skin, muscle, joint and pain conditions.

Celluma light therapy works safely and effectively without abrasive chemicals, harmful UV rays or side effects to destroy acne-causing bacteria – not only clearing up existing blemishes but preventing future breakouts before they happen. By following a regular treatment programme you’ll be on your way to a clearer, smoother, more radiant complexion.

Beauty is More than Skin Deep with Observ Skin Diagnostics

Back in the day, if a beauty therapist wanted to closely examine your skin to decide which treatments would be best, they would look closely at it usually using a bright light.  Fortunately, now we can look deeper.  The Observ Skin Diagnostics machine we have in our Brighton salon uses a broader range of light than the Wood’s lamp many salons use so can give a clearer picture of exactly what is going on with your skin on the surface and beneath it so we can tackle problems before they’ve even fully surfaced and deal with existing conditions on a deeper level.

How it Works

Like a Wood’s lamp, the Observ machine uses the fluorescence in the skin to detect underlying problems.  This works as different types of skin condition can be identified by the colour and patterns of fluorescent that are revealed under true UV light.  What makes the Observ different to other skin diagnostic systems is that it uses a wide range of light types to reveal a broader range of problems.  Light types include a similar type to the Wood’s lamps, true UV, parallel-polarization mode, cross-polarization mode and a complexion analysis mode.  Pictures taken under these lights are uploaded to an iPad so they can be analysed by one of our skin experts.  Using the iPad means we can zoom in to get a really close look at certain areas and store the pictures.

What it Reveals

Using all these different types of light and magnification allows the Observ machine to diagnose problems associated with sun damage, pigmentation and melasma pigmentation as well as the following:

• Porphyrin in acne and comedones

• Free oil flow

• Plugged pores

• Areas of keratinized skin

• Areas with diminished circulation

• Dehydrated skin

• Vascular conditions

• Rosacea

• Skin irritations

• Areas of lipid-dry skin

• Milia

• Area with collagen loss

• Sensitive and thinned skin areas

• Wrinkle formations

• Fine skin surface texture

• Fine line patterns

• Microrelief

Why We Use It

Once we have identified exactly which issues your skin has, we can design a regime of products and treatments which are perfectly tailored to your needs.  Using this depth of analysis suits the way we work because we don’t just treat surface problems, we use treatments to penetrate deeply into the lower levels of the skin and vitamin supplements to nourish and restore the skin from within.  When used as part of the IIAA 100 Day Reset Programme, we take more pictures at the end of the programme and compare these to original to demonstrate how effective the treatment plan has been.

When you attend a skin analysis at our salon in Brighton, we use the Observ machine and then talk you through the pictures to show you everything that is going on with your skin.  This is a long thorough consultation where our experts point out all the various features of your skin and make recommendations to address any concerns you have.  They will answer all your questions to help you gain a deeper understanding of your skin and its needs.  To take full advantage of all the benefits offered by our Observ Skin Diagnostics system book a skin analysis here or call 01273 270709.
