Advanced Cosmetic Procedures – what is this and how does it work?

Do you have an irritating red vein on your face?  A cluster of annoying skin tags round the neck line?  That verucca that just won’t go away despite having been frozen several times?

Lots of our clients who come into our salon have no idea what Advanced Cosmetic Procedures treatment is and what conditions the treatment is able to treat.  However the treatment has been around for many years and was developed to treat a variety of skin conditions, safely and comfortably.  Sarah has been performing this advanced form of electrolysis for 29 years, so you couldn’t be in safer or more experienced hands.

How the treatment is performed really depends on the condition that we are trying to treat.  However in the main, a diathermy current, which produces heat, is passed through a very fine needle and used to cauterise the skin blemish. In the case of Moles, we cannot claim to remove them, as this would involve physically cutting it out, which we don’t do.  However by treating them with this method, we can physically reduce them in size and often appear to disappear.

So what conditions can we treat by this method?

·       Dilated blood vessels

·       Vascular blemishes

·       Skin tags

·       Warts

·       Veruccas

·       Moles

·       Sebaceous Hyperplasia

·       Sebaceous Keratosis

·       Milia

·       Xanthelasma

·       Sebaceous Cysts

·       Molluscum Contagiosum

·       Syringoma

·       Tuberous Sclerosis

·       Poikiloderma

Over this month we aim to showcase some videos of how this treatment is performed so that you can see for yourself how quick and easy it really is.  You will be able to find these on our website and our YouTube channel.  You’ll be wishing you knew about it sooner!
